Recent Reload Design Experience of Digital PWR in Korea

摘要

The ordinary reload design in a digital PWR has been determining the optimal fuel loading pattern and generating all kinds of physics data for safety analysis. However, this design affair requires investing excessively a lot of labor and time to generate data for the safety related analysis. Since 2002, the Physics Assessment Checklist (PAC) methodology developed in Westinghouse and applied to the digital PWR in USA has been introduced to Korea. This PAC method has been continuously modified to Korean digital PWR, whose 8 plants have been designing and operating up to now.
