摘要

In prior FHR design studies, intermediate salt selection has been performed independently of primary salt selection. While this is a reasonable assumption for normal operation, this approach does not address the issues that may arise in accident scenarios in which the barriers between these systems fail and primary and intermediate coolants mix. In the baseline FHR design, the ability to recover the lithium-7 in the FLiBe primary coolant is the primary concern with a heat exchanger leak.
