The 'My Amazing Future' Program at Idaho National Laboratory

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) continues to seek opportunities to support K-12 educational initiatives in southeast Idaho and throughout the rest of the state, as opportunities allow. In 2007, INL was asked to participate in a program ("Girls in Technology") sponsored by the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) to introduce eighth grade girls to science and technology career opportunities. The goal is to pique girls' interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), expose them to STEM careers and encourage them to interact with the scientists and engineers who present workshops, many of whom are female.
