Godiva Ⅳ Startup at National Criticality Experiments Research Center (NCERC): Delayed Critical through Prompt Critical

Godiva Ⅳ is a fast burst assembly with approximately 65 kg of highly enriched uranium fuel alloyed with 1.5% molybdenum for strength. In 2012, the core for the Godiva Ⅳ critical assembly machine was reassembled and loaded onto the refurbished stand at the Device Assembly Facility (DAF) at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) as shown in Figure 1. The process was described at the 2013 American Nuclear Society Winter Meeting.
