摘要

A conceptual reactor system of molten fuel salt loop designed for Mo-99 production was analyzed by coupling TRITON neutronics and Fluent computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. The loop system operated in 1 MW thermal power features natural circulation and potential extraction of non-soluble fission products (FP) in fuel salt. The behavior of natural circulation was studied and the power and temperature distributions in equilibrium were obtained. A long-term fuel depletion analysis of the system considering fuel circulation and reprocessing was then performed using an approximate stepwise sequence of simulations.
