摘要

To cope up with the recent sophistications in safety regulation, an in-depth analysis of fuel thermo-mechanical behavior is a major concern. In this work, a capability of SCDAP/RELAP5 was assessed with a SBLOCA-based scenario for OPR-1000 in terms of cladding deformation and rupture. A burn-up-specific core model reflecting an actual reload core was developed and applied. From the outcomes, it can be concluded that the SCDAP/RELAP5 is capable to provide very informative data for the fuel thermo-mechanical behavior. However, some apparent shortcomings regarding a low number of maximum core components and simple criterion on cladding burst rupture need further consideration for improvement. Therefore, further efforts have to be made accordingly for more detail and reliable analysis.
