It can be concluded that the perturbation technique and the nodal diffusion models are not significant contributors to the overall HFP reactivity decrement bias or uncertainties reported in the original EPRI report. The reactivity decrement biases reported here using BEAVRS measured flux map data also provide evidence that could not be inferred from the Duke Power reactor data: 1. CASMO-5 reactivity decrement biases remain small for enrichment as low as to 2.4% (the original EPRI data covered the range down to 3.4% enrichment).
