摘要

In this paper, we investigate the effect of shear rate on the interfacial forces in laminar shear flow using DNS coupled with level-set interface tracking method. It's observed that the drag coefficient doesn't vary with the shear rate, at least over the range we discussed, i.e., 3.8 < Sr < 8.3 s~(-1). The lift coefficient varies with shear rate and the sign change of migration direction is observed around Sr = 1.6 s~(-1) with Eo = 3.24. Based on the observation, the lift coefficient is a combined effect of bubble deformability and shear rate. The presented work can help improve the existing models for bubble migration behavior and complement the current database of interfacial closures.
