Car clubs are enjoying a boom with 20 new UK cities, including Cardiff and Glasgow, joining the ranks of established partner authorities such as Brighton, Bristol, Edinburgh and Leeds, and London boroughs including Ealing and Sutton. At the same time, RAC research suggests that one in ten motorists is increasingly looking to the alternative option of car sharing in order to spread the rising cost of motoring.
