Foley opens IP office in China

Foley & Lardner LLP has announced that the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China has granted the company a licence to open an office in Shanghai. Catherine Sun, who joined Foley in 2007 as chair of the Asia practice will lead the Shanghai office's growth and development. Catherine has excellent experience in this area as shernpreviously managed Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP's IP practice in Shanghai. Recently she worked with the Chinese government overseeing Foley's role of international legal counsel for the organising committee of the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games.
