Alaska LNG selects Goldman and Bank of China in multiple fundraising rounds

The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) has closed an agreement with Bank of China and Goldman Sachs to serve as global capital coordinators to AGDC's Alaska LNG project. The investment banks will help AGDC to raise equity and debt financing for the continued development of the project, which is expected to reach up to $43 billion in total cost. The overall cost of Alaska LNG includes an estimated construction cost of $29 billion and an owner cost of $6.2 billion, for project management and other costs. The remaining amount will be directed to contingencies, since the risk analysis has pointed to possible liabilities ranging between $7 billion and $9.3 billion.
