Both of the main features in this issue look at significant change happening in the trade and commodities finance markets. The most eye-catching evolution in the market in recent years has been the efforts to drag trade finance transactions out of the 20th century and digitalise processes. Few financial markets, with the obvious exception of insurance, has been as resistant to abandon paper-based systems but things are beginning to change.
