(1) When detergents are added under running conditions at lower speeds and smaller loads, the formation of CCD is promoted, as CCD remains inside the combustion chamber almost in a state without chemical reactions. (2) Among the aromatics in gasoline, those with a large amount of substituents, and for those with multiple substituents, the ones that have them positioned adjacent to each other, generated little amount of CCD.
