摘要

When evaluating productive maintenance activities, the pros and cons of the current situation have been judged and evaluated quantitatively in terms of absolute values for such factors as the number of breakdowns, troubleshooting time, operational availability and the preventative maintenance rate, and this has been used to determine trends and assess their relative pros and cons. However, there are many cases where obtaining current quantitative values for actual situations is difficult, particularly when intangible values, such as the extent, problem, worries and environmental factors, have to be taken into account, and there are cases where a survey is required to determine quantitative values in order to ascertain to what extent regular inspections can be carried out and reoccurrence prevented in line with the actual situation.
