摘要

The concept of sustainability is here to stay. "Bad news" about the environment, climate change, cultural destruction and other depressing revelations of the new millennium will make it so. The environment will continue to make the front pages of newspapers and the dusty interiors of academic journals well into the future. The tourism business as an ever expanding player in the social, environmental and economic fabric of much of the world has a responsibility to ensure that it provides the most ecologically friendly face possible to the customer and the destination.
