Fatal derailment on Milano-Bologna high-speed line

At about 05.30 on 6 February, Frecciarossa train 9595 Milano-Salerno formed of ETR.400 set 21 derailed at speed near Livraga 50 km south of Milano on the Milano-Bologna high-speed line. The derailment occurred near a set of points providing access to a maintenance site. Two drivers died and 31 people were injured.
