The official inauguration of the Russian Railway Museum in St Peterburg took place on 30 October 2017. The opening was held on the 180th anniversary of the first railway line in Russia when the first train ran from St Peterburg to Tsarskoye Selo on 30 October 1837. The gauge of this railway was unique: 1829 mm or six feet!
