The increase in December 2016 from four to six ICE train pairs a day between Frankfurt and Brussels has resulted in 37% more passengers -a total of 1.1 million in 2017. DB has decided to add a seventh pair of trains between the two cities from December. The service is currently two-hourly 06.25 to 18.25, except for "missing trains" such as at 12.25 which only operates Fridays and Sundays. It is expected that all trains will run daily in future.
