On June 12, the Tobacco Acquisition of 2015 became a done deal, Soon, several brands will have been divested and changed hands such that Reynolds American Incorporated (RAI) will be America's No. 2 tobacco manufacturer and Imperial Tobacco (ITG) will be the No. 3 player in the US. There is much more to it, as we report in our Manufacturer's News section, but the fact that the deal is actually happening leaves us reshuffled, re-sorted and finally looking forward after almost a year of waiting for the other shoe to drop.
