That's how long it has been since the U.S. military's "Don't ask, don't tell"policy became history. Many experts, including some in uniform, warned that letting gay men and women serve openly would hurt military readiness. They fretted that thousands of military personnel would bail out and that recruiting new ones would be challenging. But none of that has happened. Not a single newsworthy anti-gay episode has taken place. And new recruiting numbers reveal another, more vital, 100—infactjour of them: the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines all signed up 100% of the recruits they say they needed for the month of November.
