LUMINESCENT - GRADE ZINC SULPHIDE OBTAINED BY THIOSULPHATE METHOD. Ⅲ CHARACTERIZATION OF SOME PHOSPHOR SAMPLES PREPARED FROM DIFFERENT ZnS-TYPES

By thiosulphate method, three ZnS-types were obtained in strongly, intermediate and weakly sulphurated local firing atmosphere and transformed into corresponding ZnS:Ag,Cl phosphor samples. Their crystalline structure, particle size and surface area were determined and compared with the similar characteristics of the starting ZnS-types. The emission and excitation spectra of ZnS:Ag,Cl samples-were presented and interpreted by comparing them with the spectra of the corresponding ZnS:[Zn] and ZnS:Cl phosphor samples.
