Increasing the Explosion Safety of Dust-Preparing Installations

The considerable effect of the fuel concentration in a dust-preparing system on the possibility of an explosion of the dust-air mixture is substantiated. The necessary sequence of technological operations minimizing the danger of an explosion during interruptions in the fuel supply is presented. It is shown that the main purpose of operational monitoring of the drying-agent temperature downstream from the pulverizing mill is timely detection of the discontinuation of the fuel supply and the appearance of the danger that an explosive concentration of dust will be reached.
