Mettler-Toledo acquisition builds x-ray capabilities

METTLER-TOLEDO has strengthened its x-ray inspection capabilities with the acquisition of Smiths Detection's Product Inspection division. Smith Detection's Eagle brand of x-ray inspection systems is now part of Mettler- Toledo's Product Inspection division, but will continue to operate as a separate entity using existing sales and service channels. Other brands in Mettler-Toledo's portfolio include Hi-Speed, Garvens, Safeline and Cl-Vision.
