Thankfully, the memory of the Great Western is being kept alive by numerous heritage railways. The largest of these have been well publicised over the years, so for this special issue we thought we would take a detailed look at one of the more unsung groups helping to keep trains running on ex-GWR metals - the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway. It has owned the Chinnor branch longer than the original builders, the Watlington & Princes Risborough Railway, who operated it for just 11 years between 1872 and 1883.
