Paddington to be seen in new light

Work on a £35million project to restore roof span 4 at Paddington station to its former glory is well underway and on target for completion at the end of 2010. Span 4, built in 1916 on the north-east side of the terminus, covers platforms 9-12 and was designed by W. Young Armstrong to complement the three older Brunei spans over platforms 1 to 8 on the main concourse.
