Sarah Westmacott's Andrew Barclay 0-6-OT Gertrude (AB1578/1918) returned to steam over August 29-31, appearing at the Leighton Buzzard Railway's celebration for the 90th birthday of sister loco AB1641/1919 Doll.rnIt was the first time Gertrude had steamed in public since entering preservation - and the first time Gertrude and Doll, which worked together in industry until 1959, had been together in 50 years.rnIn November 2006, Gertrude was moved from the workshop of Pete Westmacott (Sarah's father) to Exmoor Transport in Bratton Fleming for completion of its overhaul.
