FLIRT EMUs approved in Netherlands

The Dutch authorities have approved the four-car FLIRT EMUs, operated by German company Eurobahn, to run to and from Venlo.rnThis is the first time that the FLIRT type of train has been approved in the Netherlands.rnThe approval was due in December last year but problems were encountered in gaining approval in Germany for the fleet of four four-car EMUs and 14 five-car EMUs.rnThis meant that approval for use in the Netherlands wasrndelayed as approval had first to be obtained in Germany.
