Sudan's 414km north-south I line, built in the late-l950s between Babanusa (junction for Nyala in Dafur province) and Waw, has been re-opened.rnMuch of the branch has been disused since a bridge at Aweil was destroyed in thern1980s during the civil war.rnThere were Chinese-managed plans to revive this branch as part of an ambitious US$2bn link between the oil-rich south of Sudan, Uganda and Kenya via Jueba.
