Work started on April 12 on the ￡130million upgrade of Edinburgh's Waverley station.rnThe first part of the project involves replacing the station's 34,000 sq metre roof, which is to have 28,000 clear glass panels installed over the next three years, opening up the station to natural light and totally improving the environment for passengers.rnNetwork Rail's improvements to Waverley will result in new fully accessible entrances from Market Street and from Princes Street via Waverley Steps.
