The Greensand Railway Museum Trust, which returned Baldwin 4-6-OT WDLR No. 778 to steam in 2007, is to restore 40hp Armoured Simplex, WDLR No. 2182 (Motor Rail No. 461/1917) to operation.rnApparently a unique survivor, the Armoured Simplex is the perfect companion for Baldwin No.778, being built around the same time for the World War One Allied war effort. Steam used to take supplies close to combat areas and the wagons would continue to the trenches behind internal combustion locos.
