DB homes in on Eurostar stake

German Railways - owner of Britain's largest railfreight operation - is looking at buying a stake of up to 40 per cent in Eurostar. DB chief executive Ruediger Grube said: "It's attractive to run trains to London. Our goal is to go with the ICE (Germany's high-speed inter-city express trains) to London, but only if we make money in the medium term, otherwise we're not going to touch it."
