RAIL-Blue Charters appears to have finally admitted defeat in trying to stay in business after cancelling five trains in a row because it was unable to fund the repairs to a kitchen car at Derby (RW Nov). In an announcement made on its website in late September, just hours after The RM went to press, RBC said: "Due to the non-availability of its kitchen car, Rail-Blue Charters is currently not processing any bookings for its excursion trains for the remainder of the year. "No payment will be taken from passengers who recently emailed or submitted a booking form until Rail-Blue Charters is sure that it can deliver its promised service.
