New platform at Lintley

A NEW platform at Lintley Halt, set to become the South Tynedale Railway's new northern terminus, has been completed. Work has progressed on the footpath adjacent to the trackbed from the STR's current Kirkhaugh terminus towards Lintley. The extension could be opened at Easter 2012, although considerable work and funding is needed.
