Ropley phase two underway

With reconstruction of the Mid-Hants Railway's'David Snow Building'at Ropley completed (picture, RM Apr) including the boiler shop returning to full operation, a start has been made on phase two of the project. Initial site clearance, including removal of a chalk bank, has been undertaken preparatory to reconstruction of the rear (station end) of the workshops. This will produce a two-storey addition with machine shop, viewing gallery, store and volunteer facilities. Construction is likely to start in May.
