More improvements for Preston?

Preston station could be in line for further enhancements following the completion of £1 million of improvements. Handling nearly five million passengers a year, the station now has four new lifts and more attractive subways. Brighter lighting and clearer information displays have been introduced. The project was carried out through a partnership between Virgin Trains and Network Rail, with funding from the Department for Transport's National Stations Improvement Programme.
