Newton Aycliffe Works'on stream by 2015'

HITACHI says that its Newton Aycliffe Works will be built by 2013 and that it will create at least 500 jobs in one of the most depressed areas of Britain. The first trains are expected to appear in 2015, the initial batch of 70 vehicles being supplied ready-assembled from Japan and going to Newton for fitting-out and commissioning.
