Experience days for drivers at Wirksworth

The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway's diesel driving experience days have proved popular over the past two years and will be even better value after the grand re-opening to Duffield on April 8-10 as they will be whole-line operations. There are three different courses. A'day with the driver'(￡125),heldon service days is spent with the driver on a DMU and diesel loco, learning how to prepare the train and accompanying him in the cab, followed by lunch in the buffet car with up to three guests. The participant then helps put the train away for the night.
