2011 West Somerset diesel programme announced

The West Somerset Railway has two events this year featuring classic traction: the mixed traction gala on June10-12, and the late summer gala on September 3/4. In addition, one diesel loco will be used on service trains every Friday and Saturday in July and August. Class47No.D1661Worf/i Star ran crew training sessions with the DEPG's LNER brakevan over the first two weekends of November to improve the skills of crews, and to establish a timetable for the diesel driving courses to be introduced in April.
