Tornado will celebrate SVR'reopening' in April

A1 No. 60163 Tornado will be running on the Severn Valley Railway between April 21-26, arriving and departing over the national network link at Kidderminster. The new-build A1 has been signed up to make a celebratory splash following the SVR's completion of major rebuild projects this winter. Some of these required severance of the line.; in the run-up to Christmas, the railway was running between Kidderminster and Highley only. During the six-week closure north of Highley, track was relaid between Sterns and Hay Bridge, track was lifted to enable replacement of a culvert half-a-mile south of Hampton Loade and the final phase of relaying (a project started earlier in 2010) was completed south of Country Park Halt.
