A major new Hollywood train movie has been released. Called'Unstoppable', it is based on an incident in May 2001, in which a freight train containing molten phenol ran away for 66 miles through Ohio. The incident began when the driver of CSX SD40-2 No. 8888 climbed down from his slow-moving one-man-operated train to change a point. Because it was a yard movement, the train's full air-brake system was not connected and he had not enabled the dead man's switch. After setting the point for the main line, he slipped while trying to get back on board, leaving the train to run away.
