'First'for'Thomas', says Spa Valley

In running a 'Thomas' character engine over its extended line to Eridge over May 19-20, the Spa Valley Railway is claiming a debatable'first'. The mile-long line, parallel to the main line, between Birchden and Eridge, is leased from Network Rail so it could be argued is NR infrastructure, in which case the little blue tank engine has worked a heritage passenger service over an Nrtrackbed!
