TRACK REPAIRS SEVER CROSSTOWN TRAFFIC

Cyoydon Tramlink was cut in two from February 11-16, to allow a series of track repairs on the town centre loop. The work meant services from Wimbledon ran only as far as the Reeves Corner stop, while those from New Addingham, Elmers End and Beckenham Jet terminated at East Croydon. Track replacement took place on the sharp bend at Barclays corner - close to East Croydon station - and on Crown Hill, in the town centre. Minor repair work was also done near the Church Street and George Street stops.
