Electric Railway Museum wins top national award

The Electric Railway Museum, which has made great strides in developing its site and collection in recent years, has won the Heritage Railway Association's annual Small Groups award (see Headline News). In addition to holding its first public open days in 2011, the Coventry-based museum has added several items to the collection, which portrays the history of electric traction. Following the arrival of the National Collection's APT-P power car, No. 49006 (RM Oct p95), another historic vehicle from the APT programme was delivered on September 23 -Laboratory 4, No. RDB975386, the first vehicle to run with the APT-P's suspension and tilt system.
