Two heritage railways receive the Queen's Award

Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the Queen's Coronation, the Severn Valley Railway and the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society have been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. In Talyllyn's case, the news was announced on the same day the line was re-enacting its Coronation Day trains of 60 years ago (see page 90).
