45 years on... a re-creation of the'15 Guinea Special'

Forty-five years ago, the famous "15 Guinea Special" farewell to BR steam service ran on August 11,1968 with the reporting number of 1T57. Tickets cost 15 guineas - hence the nickname of the train. The anniversary is to be marked to the day with a spectacular re-creation, promoted by the Railway Touring Company, using four different steam locomotives, two of which featured on the original train.
