Transport minister contrasts brakevan with Royal saloon

Secretary of State for Transport Patrick McLoughlin MP visited the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway on October 26 - apparently his first visit to a private railway since becoming Secretary of State. As MP for the Derbyshire Dales, Mr McLoughlin had visited Wirksworth in the early days of EVR restoration, travelling in a guard's van along an overgrown, partially abandoned line.
