￡5m upgrade underway at Llandudno

Work to enhance and upgrade Llandudno station is in full swing. A total of ￡5.1 million has been budgeted for the work, of which ￡3.5m has come from the Welsh Government, and ￡1.5m from the DfT's National Stations Improvement Programme. The Railway Heritage Trust is also contributing ￡150,000. With detailed design work underway, the station will get a new frontage more in keeping with the town's Victorian architecture, a new ticket office, improved customer information systems, upgraded toilets and improved bus interchange facilities.
