Work to upgrade utilities in Farringdon

As part of the construction of the new Farringdon station for the Crossrail scheme, the utilities beneath Farringdon Road need to be protected and replaced. The work - which began on November 12 and continues to May 2013-will lead to a number of water, gas and other utility pipes that run under Farringdon Road being replaced or monitored as they could be affected by ground settlement caused by station and tunnelling works.
