New GB Gypsum flow

GB Railfreight has begun a new flow of gypsum from West Burton power station. The new diagram started in September and is for 22 wagons. It is due to operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, leaving West Burton at 03.56, running via the Robin Hood Line to access the Erewash Valley line at Pye Bridge Junction. It is then routed via Toton,Tamworth and Gloucester, where the train is booked to recess. Unusually, the wagons being used are former Freightliner MJA wagons, which are of the open type rather than the closed container wagons used on other gypsum services.
