Katie revival for Ratty 2015 anniversary celebrations

Resurrection of ex-Eaton Hall Railway 0-4-0T Katie will be finished in time for the 2015 celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the Ravenglass& Eskdale Railway's conversion to 15in gauge. Katie's frames and boiler have gone to Station Road Steam Ltd's Metheringham premises in Lincolnshire, where the revival from dereliction will be completed for the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway Preservation Society Trust. The work is being undertaken in conjunction with Sir Arthur Heywood expert James Waterfield, constructor and owner of Heywood replica locos 0-6-0T Ursula (operational at the Perrygrove Railway) and 0-4-0T Effie (almost complete).
